Host Country: A nation in South America TBD in 2008
There is no doubt that having 2014 FIFA World Cup tickets would be an amazing thing. There is no doubt that any of us would love to travel around the world to see this game played. Watching it on television just does not do it justice. Getting there and experiencing the culture, the people and the amazing game will be well worth it. So, where are you likely to go and who is it that is likely to be playing in that game? These are things that we do not know all that much about as of yet. But, there is some news.
It is tentatively set that the 2014 FIFA World Cup tickets will have a South American location listed on them. There have been policies put in place that will help to keep the game of the FIFA World Cup to be played in various locations around the world, when it is played every four years. With that said, it is South America's turn to host the game. In actuality, it is likely that the game will be held in Brazil as it has been adopted as the only candidate for the games. The CONMEBOL associated voted on this but the final decision about the details will not be released until 2008.
If the FIFA World Cup does take place in South America in 2014, it will be the first time since 1978 that the continent will have hosted the games. In that year, Argentina was the host site.
On March 7, 2004, FIFA announced that the FIFA World Cup would happen in South America and ten days later announced that Brazil is the sole candidate for the location, as of yet. Will this be an amazing game where Brazil finds themselves the winners? Even if they do not make the final cut to win the World Cup, it is likely that their economy will get an enormous boost from the games themselves.
